About

My name is Nicholas Strawbridge-Smith and I’m a qualified stone conservator having completed an FdSc in Applied Architectural Stonework and Conservation at Weymouth College. I grew up in Devon where I gained extensive landscape gardening and stonewalling experience, before moving to Bristol, via Barcelona. I have worked for specialist conservation companies, working on iconic historic structures such as Glastonbury Abbey and Clifton Suspension Bridge. I set up my own business in 2016, I am a member of the Dry Stone Walling Association and am an approved contractor for the Woodland Trust, carrying out stone and lime work for them since 2017. I have also site/project managed large, high end residential construction projects for specialist building companies.

I am always happy to discuss potential work, offer advice when possible and strongly believe that good communication is key.

I am fully insured and can provide references on request.

I have a trusted team of skilled workers to call upon and a strong network of sub-contractors. We cover Bristol and the surrounding countryside.
